My grandfather James Plumpton’s book ‘Treasure Cruise’ is on my website and has a fair bit of information about Stratford Jolly as he was the organiser. The particular page with crew profiles is here:
Https://sites.google.com/chazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11709540708074715517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-128489391406278465.post-42495641615512388232014-09-16T09:05:02.196-04:002014-09-16T09:05:02.196-04:00Hello Sandra, yes, Hervey de Montmorency will appe...Hello Sandra, yes, Hervey de Montmorency will appear as well in my book as do many other ex military men. They were looking for millions in gold, reported to have been an Inca treasure buried by Jesuit priests at Sacambaya mission in Bolivia near the border between the La Paz and Cochabamba. I believe he may be in a group photograph of this expedition:
http://www.peruviantimes.com/sandra e thompsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17262151009058621741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-128489391406278465.post-51740045414196967992014-06-09T19:12:34.882-04:002014-06-09T19:12:34.882-04:00Am just cataloguing a first edition of "The t...Am just cataloguing a first edition of "The treasure trail : some adventures of Stratford D. The best place for more information, and perhaps more clues as to where else to look, might be his account of treasure-hunting in South America, The Treasure Trail (1934).Thanks for writing!Douglas A.
